About Us

James and Lindsay Limited who have always been based in Colchester started in 1931 as LC James and Co. and in 1968 merged with Lindsay to produce the current business - James and Lindsay Ltd. Since then the business has greatly expanded mainly as a community broker providing financial services, personal lines and commercial insurances, expansion mainly due to recommendations and personal endorsements. In 2003 the business restructured leaving James & Lindsay Ltd to deal with the general insurance arm and James & Lindsay Life & Pensions Ltd dealing with the financial services.
